Snack Recipe: Paneer Open Toasted Sandwiches
A tasty sandwich makes the perfect evening snack, but it can add excess fat and calories if you do not choose the right ingredients. Pallavi Srivastava, Fitness Nutritionist and Founder of Q-Slim Fitness Studio shares with us a tempting paneer open toasted sandwich recipe.
- 2 whole grain breads
- ½ cup low fat paneer
- ¼ cup finely chopped tomato
- 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp finely chopped mint leaves
- ¼ cup of chopped cabbage
- ¼ cup of capsicum
- ½ green chilly finely chopped
- ½ cup of onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- ½ tsp of butter
Method:
Heat the oil, add the onions and ginger garlic paste saute until golden brown. Add the tomatoes and the capsicum, cabbage and the paneer to it, cook for 4 minutes, remove from the pan, add green chillies, salt and pepper and the coriander to top it. Take two slices of whole grain bread, add light butter and add the mixture to it evenly, toast/grill the sandwich. And serve hot with tomato ketchup.
