There is no way one can round up a visit of Lucknow without buying some sweet smelling Ittar,the definitive sign of the Nawabi era gone by.Vishesh Vijayvergia,a young man who is taking Lakhnawi frangnances across the globe,says that people abroad contact them for fragnances from the city.Perfumes from the city are very popular not only in India but across the world.In countries like Singapore,Malaysia,Saudi Arabia,South Africa,Europe and the US,we have many loyal customers who use only our perfumes.

Many Indians,who are residing abroad,also buy our perfumes whenever they come here, says the young businessman who is taking forward the legacy of Sugandh Co,a perfume shop that dates back to 1850. Vishesh says that the citys perfume sellers do a lot of research to give his clients some new fragrances.Our perfumes are made from natural oils.But foreign clients look for personalised perfumes.Indeed,the city is now exporting an array of perfumes to various places across the globe.And I am trying to open some outlets outside the country soon, says he.
